FMFD was alerted to a structure fire within the 2800 block of Marion Cardington Rd East. First unit to arrive was Chief 602 who reported a single story, wood frame residential that was fully involved, all residents were out but injured. Initial investigation finds that there was a gas explosion as the cause. 

The residents were transported to MGH and then Med Flight took them to Columbus for further treatment. The State Fire Marshall was called to assist with the investigation. 

Mutual aid was received from First Consolidated Fire, Pleasant Township Fire, Battle Run Fire, Cardington Fire, Marion Township Fire. The Marion County Sheriff also responded as with Union County EMA with a rehab unit. Units were on scene for approximately 4 hours conducting overhaul.
