FMFD responded to a traffic accident involving an Anhydrous Ammonia trailer that was off gasing a vapor on SR 229 near Gearhiser Road. C630 arrived and Captain Dix assumed command. SR 229 was shut down to all traffic. A safe area was established and E611 Crew was able to secure the valve. Crews remained on scene for several hours while clean-up continued. A total of 3 were evaluated for potential exposure but did not require transport.
Along with FMFD, Delaware County EMS, Delaware County Sheriff, OSHP, Delaware County EMA, ODOT and State of Ohio Hazmat officials responded. Waldo Farmers Co-op also responded and provided assistance
